For Teddie

Charity Film

For Teddie follows a grieving father who finds himself drawn into the heart of a local football team — a small community bound by routine, humour, and the unspoken understanding that comes from playing side by side. What begins as a simple attempt to reconnect with the world becomes something far more profound: a space where grief can be carried, shared, and slowly transformed.

At its core, this film explores the quiet ways we hold each other through loss. Through intimate documentary storytelling, we uncover how a father learns to navigate the absence that has reshaped his life — and how the presence of others, even strangers, can soften what feels impossible to bear. It’s a story about listening, about being witnessed, and about the healing found in collective experience.

This short documentary looks beyond the surface of a Sunday-league team and into the emotional currents running beneath it. It’s a film about men showing up for one another without spectacle or ceremony — a reminder that support doesn’t always appear as a grand gesture, but often as a shared pitch, a half-time conversation, a warm hand on a shoulder, or a quiet nod of understanding.

Visually, the project blends personal, close-up detail with the raw, communal energy of grassroots football. The tone is gentle, grounded, and heartfelt, revealing how community can become a lifeline when everything feels fractured.

For Teddie is ultimately a film about loss, connection, and the surprising places we find strength. It serves as a portrait of a father learning to live with what he cannot change, and a tribute to the power of shared experience — how, in moments of deep pain, the simple act of being together can bring us back to ourselves.
